About Me

I'm a photographer based in Barry's Bay, Ontario in the beautiful Madawaska Valley. I use mostly natural light but also occasionally some studio lighting.

My journey into photography began when I was very young, first with my Mom's Polaroid, then with my very own "Disk" camera, and of course who can forget the old "110"s, but I received my first SLR camera (film, of course!) from my husband when I was about 21 and it was from then on that I began devouring everything I could find in books, and later online, to learn as much as I could to develop my skills as a photographer.

Back in those days, my primary interest was in photographing nature and scenery. It was only a few short years ago, when my first granddaughter was born, that I discovered my love of photographing people. Over the years, I have learned, and continue to learn, how to make those tack-sharp images and creamy bokeh backgrounds that we all love! I see my photography as I see myself -- always evolving. I never stop trying to learn and grow.

In addition to photography, I work full-time for the Township Of Madawaska Valley, where I've been employed for the past 31 years. I've been married to my amazing and always-supportive husband for 36 years and together we created and raised two amazing sons, both of whom have grown-up and flown the coop!

I am absolutely thrilled and honoured every single time that someone entrusts me with shooting their newborn, or their wedding, or family or any special occasion. Every single photo session that I do begins with butterflies of excitement in my tummy -- there is NOTHING I love doing more!!

I try to customize each session I do, to my clients needs and personalities. I would love to hear from you to discuss YOUR session!
